Building at Fakirapool catches fire

A multistoried building at Fakirapool in Dhaka city caught fire early Monday. The fire erupted at the building adjacent to Fakirapool Panir Tanki (overhead water reservoir) around 12:20am, fire service officials, quoting local people, said. Being informed, 11 firefighting units from different fire stations in the city rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 1:30am. The origin of the fire or the extent of loss in terms of money caused by the fire could not be known, according to a news agency.
