Building entrepreneurial mindset -
Tuesday, 22 March 2022
In our country, schools, colleges and universities are putting their best efforts to produce good employees rather than good employers. All of our institutions, teachers and parents work to groom us in a way that one day we might become a good employee. But who will become employers if everyone wants to be an employee? There is hardly any university in Bangladesh that can claim that it is building an entrepreneurial mindset among its students.
It is time for our policymakers to think whether our university education is good enough for entrepreneurship or not. And our universities should also focus on their curricula and teaching methods so that their learning materials can be effective in building the students' skill and entrepreneurship. We are in the age of trade wars where we need to focus on practical work and analytical skills which will lead to proactive minds. In this era, only those countries can succeed if they have good entrepreneurial minds, creative and innovative people.
