Bullet-hit Jessore businessman dies at DMCH

A businessman, injured by bullets in a gun attack on him in Raypara Jamtola in Jessore town on August 28, has died in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Mohammad Ali, elder brother of the deceased, said Bachchu Mian has succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night. Four suspected killers of Bachchu Mian have been arrested following a case filed over the gun attack on him, Jessore Kotwali Police Station sources said. Among the arrestees, one identified as Sajib, son of Nur Islam of Railgate Poschimpara area of the district town, confessed before the court that he fired from his gun at Bachchu Mian, also the owner of restaurant in the town. Three other arrestees are Jony, son of Kamal Hossain of Pashchimpara, Torikul Islam, son of Ashraf, Imran, and Ibad Ali, according to a news agency.
