Bumper mustard production in Rangpur, Dinajpur likely

RANGPUR, Mar 1: The farmers of greater Rangpur and Dinajpur region are expecting bumper production of mustard in the current season.
According to the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Rangpur sources, a total of 43100 hectares of land have been brought under mustard cultivation this year in eight districts of the region with a production target of 44,000 tonnes.
DAE, Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI), Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC), some commercial banks and leading NGOs are assisting the farmers by providing necessary inputs to ensure a good yield, sources added.
