Burdwan blast: Rohingya held in Hyderabad

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) members on Monday arrested a Myanmar national in India’s Hyderabad city in connection with October 2 blast in Burdwan. Hindustan Times (HT) quoting India’s IANS news agency, said that arrestee – Kaleed, alias Khalid Mohammed – was allegedly running terror camps in areas bordering Bangladesh and Myanmar. HT in the report further said that Kaleed belonged to Rohingya solidarity organisation. It claimed that the 28-year-old has links with Bangladesh based terrorist groups. ‘Kaleed is also an expert in explosives,’ the report said. Khaleed was residing in Hyderabad with fake identity documents. ‘He is found to be without valid travel documents,’ it added. Two suspected members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) died in a bomb explosion that occurred in a house on Oct 2 in Khagragarh in Burdwan district of India’s West Bengal state, according to a news agency.
