Burglary at journo\\\'s house in city

Burglars took away valuables from the house of a journalist at Shahinbagh in the city's Tejgaon area on Saturday afternoon, reports UNB.
Victim Anwar Haq, news editor of the private television channel RTV, told the news agency that the burglary took place in between 4:15pm and 4:30pm when the family members had been out of the house.
He said his wife went to fetch their child from a coaching centre locking the house.
When she returned home, she found the door lock broken, the journalist said.
Entering the house, she found that the thieves looted Tk 20,000 in cash and 5-6 tolas of gold ornaments worth Tk 250,000 breaking open an almirah.
On information, a team of police from Tejgaon Police Station visited the spot.
