Burn victims to be rehabilitated: Nasim

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim visited the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Saturday, his first after assuming office. “The Prime Minister has ordered me to tell the burn victims that they will be rehabilitated after recovery,” he said. Nasim also gave Tk 5,000 each to 20 victims under treatment, according to a news agency. More than 20 people have died from arson across Bangladesh during agitation by the BNP and its 17 allies to press for a non-party caretaker to supervise the national polls. Many more have sustained burn injuries. “Nowhere in the world are innocent civilians burned to death for achieving political objectives," the health minister said.
