Bus-autorickshaw collision leaves 6 dead in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Dec 29 (UNB): Six people, including two women, were killed in a road accident between a bus and a CNG run-autorickshaw on Sherpur-Mymensingh highway in Sherpur Sadar upazila on Sunday morning, said police.
One of the deceased was identified as CNG driver Lokman Akmal, 45, a resident of Kamari area of Sherpur Sadar upazila.
Sherpur Sadar police station's officer-in-charge Jobaidul Alam said the Dhaka-bound bus of Refat Paribahan from Kurigram's Rowmari upazila collided with the autorickshaw from the opposite direction in Safmari area under Bhatshala union around 11:30am, leaving the five dead on the spot and another died on the way to the hospital.
