Bus counter employee shot dead in city

An employee of a bus counter was gunned down by unknown assailants at Kalyanpur in the city early Thursday. The deceased was identified as Parvez (22), employee of Sohag Paribahan bus counter at Kalyanpur and son of Abul Hossain of Noakhali district. Police quoting local people said some unknown miscreants opened fire on Parvez inside the bus counter at about 5:30 am, leaving him seriously injured. Two bullets pierced his throat and chest. He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead. — UNB
