Bus plunge kills three in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Dec 20 (UNB): At least three people, including a woman, were killed and 20 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch amid dense fog at Manohorpur in Kuliarchar upazila early Saturday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Jasim Uddin,60, and Omeda Begum,52, while identity of another dead could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident took place in the area about 12:30 am
when a Habiganj-bound bus from Nandail fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering due to thick fog, leaving three people including a woman dead, on the spot and 20 others injured.
Of the injured, eight people were admitted to Bajitpur Jahurul Islam Medical College and Hospital.
Mizanur Zaman, officer-in-charge of Kuliarchar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
