Bus-truck collision kills 3 in Ctg

Three people, including a woman, were killed and 11 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Shuklalhat under Sitakunda Upazila in Chittagong on Friday. The dead are Abul Kashem, 35, driver of the bus and hailing from Noakhali district, Obaidullah, 43, driver of the truck and hailing from Bogra, and Jarina Begum, 40. Zillur Rahim, sergeant of Kumira highway police camp, said the accident took place around 6:15am when a Chittagong-bound bus from Dhaka collided head-on with a tuck coming from the opposite direction, leaving drivers of both the vehicles and a woman killed on the spot and 11 others injured. Of the injured, four were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital while the others admitted to Sitakunda Upazila Health Complex, according to UNB.
