Business house fined Tk 0.1m in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Oct 11 (BSS): A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in a drive fined the owner of Popular Trade Tk 0.1 million for making palm candy (Talmishri) using noxious textile dyes at Chowmuhani Bazar in Chowmuhani upazila of the district on Wednesday.
Sources concerned said the DNCRP team, led by assistant director Kawshar Miah, conducted the drive at Popular Trade and fined the business house. The business establishment was fined Tk 1,00,000 for violating the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.
