Businessman chopped to death

A local businessman was hacked to death by unknown miscreants in Moloy Bazar area in Daudkandi upazila in Comilla on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Faruk Ahmed Molla, 30, son of Almas Bepari of Haripur village of the upazila. Witnesses said Faruk Molla was severely injured as a gang of masked miscreants chopped him indiscriminately after calling him over mobile phone around 4 pm. He was rushed to Gouripur Hospital with his wrists cut-off and severe injuries on head. He was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from there as his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka, according to a news agency.
