Businessman rescued 7 days after abduction

Detectives have rescued a businessman 7 days after he was abducted from Shahjadpur Upazila in Sirajganj. Sirajganj Detective OC Nasir Uddin said police have detained 3 men in connection with the abduction. The victim was rescued around 9:30pm on Monday after raiding a house in Bagatipara Upazila. Golam Mostofa, 48, was found tied up, said OC Nasir. The detainees are Enamul Haque, 40, Hafizul Islam, 20, and Faisal Ahammed, 34. Police also picked up three others for interrogation. Golam Mostofa was abducted on his way to the market on October 20 last. Two days later the kidnappers demanded a ransom of Tk 50 million over phone from his family, according to bdnews24.com.
