Businessman shot dead

A businessman has been shot to death by some miscreants at Chandanimahal under Dighalia Upazila of Khulna. The dead is Laxmi Kanta Mondol, 30, son of Natabar Mondol of Chandanimahal Pashchimpara village of the Upazila. Witnesses said coming in a motorbike a gang of miscreants shot Laxmi while he was standing before his house, leaving him injured grievously. He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Laxmi was a businessman. The motive behind the murder could not be known, according to a news agency.
