Businessman shot dead in Ctg

A businessman was gunned down by unidentified miscreants at Dakkhin Purangarh in Satkania upazila of Chittagong early Monday. The dead is Ziaur Rahman, 35, son of late Bhetta Mia of the area. He was a businessman. Officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station Khalid Hossain said Ziaur came under the gun attack while returning home in Dakkhin Purangarh from his book shop in Boaunghat area around 12:10am. Miscreants opened fire on Ziaur from a close range, leaving him dead on the spot. On information, police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to Chittagong Medial College Hospital for autopsy. The reason behind the killing could not be known yet, added the OC, according to UNB.
