Businessman slaughtered

A businessman was killed by unidentified assailants in the city's North Kafrul area Monday night. The victim was identified as Mubashsher Hasan (30), son of Haji Momtajuddin of Monoharganj village under Laksham Upazila in Comilla district. The police said Mubashsher, who has a leather goods shop in Kafrul area, was found dead in his rented house Tuesday morning. They said Mubashsher returned from his shop at about 8:00 pm Monday. As he did not go to his shop till 11.00 am Tuesday, his shop employee came to his house and found it locked from outside. He later opened the lock with a duplicate key and found the body of his employer lying on the ground in a pool of blood. —UNB
