Butterfly fair held

A day-long butterfly fair has been held on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus in Savar amid great festivity. Securing the slogan ‘Urle Akashe Projapoti, Prokriti Pay Notun Goti’ JU Zoology Department in collaboration with ‘Prokriti O Jiban’ foundation organised the fair for the fifth time at Jahir Raihan auditorium on the campus. JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farzana Islam inaugurated the function as the chief guest while Dean of Biological Science Professor Abdul Zabber Hawlader, Professor of Chittagong University Shafiq Hayder Chawdhory, Country Representative of IUCN Ishtiaq Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Prokriti O Jiban foundation Mukit Mazumder Babu, Professor of JU Bangla department Md. Khalid Hossain and noted film maker Kethrin Masud addressed the function as special guests, among others, according to a news agency.
