Buyers lend fair support

Buyers were active throughout the sale and as a result prices were generally fully firm to slightly dearer particularly the well made good liquoring and Brokens and Fannings. There was active interest from Blenders and Packeteers whilst Loose tea buyers also lent a useful support. Pakistan buyers lent a fair support. Good liquoring Dusts once again met with strong competition at dearer rates,
CTC LEAF: 28,571 packages and 620 packages of Old Season were on offer. Strong general demand continued.
BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Btokens were a strong feature particularly the smaller varieties which were fully firm to slightly dearer selling between Tk 88 and Tk 92. All others were about firm.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings continued to be a strong feature and were generally fully firm and these sold between Tk 90 and Tk 94. Others were about steady,
CTC DUST: 4,240 packages and 85 packages of Old Season on offer continued to meet with a very strong demand. Better liquoring types were a slightly dearer market following competition whilst all others were fully firm. Plainer liquoring types eased slightly. Both Blenders and Loose tea buyers lent a good support.
