Buyers selective in purchasing clean liquoring tea

Offerings comprised of a larger weight of end of season tea. Consequently, buyers were selective in their purchase whereby clean liquoring tea were well supported but all others suffered heavily in price with larger withdrawals. Blenders lent fairly good support while Loose tea buyers were selective. A limited quantity of good liquoring Dusts were a strong feature of the sale, a National Brokers Limited press release said.
CTC LEAF: 46,170 packages and 66 packages of old season tea on offer once again met with less demand at easier rates. .
BROKENS: A few clean liquoring Brokens met with a good demand and were about steady. All others were much easier following quality with substantial withdrawals in the plainest and poor categories.
FANNINGS: A few good liquoring Invoices on offer met with quite a strong demand and were generally firm and these could be quoted between Tk 203 and Tk 208. The remainder met with much less demand and where sold recorded a drop in price often by up to Tk. 10.  Poorest, however, were very difficult of sale with heavy withdrawals,
CTC DUST: 7,475 packages and 35 packages of old season tea on offer met with a fair demand.
A few lines of good liquoring varieties met with a strong competition and were dearer by Tk 5 to Tk 10 and sometimes more. Others were mostly a lower market easing by Tk 5 and more. There was fair withdrawals for end of season types. Both Blenders and Loose tea buyers lent fair support.
