BWDB gets addl DG

Engineer SM Shahidul Islam joined the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) as additional Director General (DG) of eastern region on Monday, says a statement.
Before joining, he was working as chief engineer (Sylhet northern- western region) of the BWDB.
He obtained BSc degree in civil engineering from now Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) in 1987. He joined the BWDB as an assistant engineer in 1989.
During his service, he worked on the Teesta Barrage project, dredging project, Capital (pilot) and riverbank conservation projects.
He participated in seminars and training in many countries like- Italy, Germany, Singapore and Philippines.
