BWDB plants 1.0m saplings across country

Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) planted more than 1.0 million saplings across the country till October 15, 2020, said a BWDB press release.
It said the BWDB planted the 1,003,397 saplings as part of its programme to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman following the directive by the Prime Minister.
Following the order of the water resources ministry, the BWDB took the initiative to plant saplings on the premises of its head office in the capital and on the premises of all its field level offices and at all offices of the projects under the board across the country.
The saplings planting programme by board marking 'Mujib Borsho' will continue, the release added.
