Saturday, 22 August 2015
Bangladesh U-19 tootball team start their SAFF U-19 Championship campaign taking on Bhutan in their opening group A match scheduled to be held today (Saturday) at either the ANFA Complex or Army ground in Kathmandu, Nepal. The match kicks off at 3:30 pm (local time), reports BSS.
Bangladesh will face hosts Nepal on Monday (August 24) in their remaining group engagement.
Ahead of the first match against Bhutan, the booteers had their rigorous practice session at the Army ground Friday.
Bangladesh coach Golam Zilani said Bhutan team is more improved than before, because they play mostly in this environment. Nepal and Bangladesh are almost similar. So their first target is to reach the last four.
Earlier, Bangladesh had been placed in Group A along with hosts Nepal and Bhutan while Group B team consists of India, Afghanistan and the Maldives.
On completion of the group matches, the two semifinal matches will be held on August 27 -- the first one at 12:00 noon while the 2nd semi at 3:30 pm.
The final match is slated for August 29 at 3:00 pm.
