Bangladesh Youth Hockey team Wednesday completed their 2nd Summer Youth Olympics Games campaign on a dismal note losing all the four Pool A matches, reports UNB.
In the 4th and last pool match, Bangladesh lost to South Africa by 3-4 goals in a keenly contested affair Wednesday at YOG Sports Park Hockey field in Nanjing, China.
Bangladesh earlier conceded a humiliating 1-9 goals defeat against Spain, 2-5 goals defeat against Australia and 1-4 goals defeat against Canada to make early exit from the race.
In the day's match, Nqobile Mansuet Ntuli scored three goals and Tyson Sbongu Dlungwana netted one for the winners while Mohammad Naimuddin, Mohammad Fazle Rabby and Deen Islam Emon scored one goal each for Bangladesh.
Tyson Sbongu Dlungwana put South Africa ahead in the 7th minute (1-0) while Mohammad Naimuddin, who scored the lone goal for Bangladesh against Canada on Tuesday, restored the parity for Bangladesh in the 14th minute (1-1).
Nqobile Mansuet Ntuli again put South Africa ahead in the 18th minute (1-0) while M Fazle Rabby leveled the margin few seconds later (2-2).
In the 22nd minute, Nqobile Mansuet Ntuli scored his second goal, the 3rd for Proteas team (3-2), but Deen Islam Emon again neutralized the margin in the 28th minute (3-3).
Eventually, Nqobile Mansuet Ntuli sealed the fate of the match scoring the match-winner for South Africa in the 31st minute.
