B’desh reach final beating SL by 25 runs

Bangladesh women cricket team reached the final of the 17th Asian Games Cricket Thursday eliminating Sri Lanka by 25 runs in the second semi-final at the Yeonhui Cricket Ground at Incheon, South Korea, reports UNB.
Bangladesh will play final today (Friday) against Pakistan, who outplayed China by 9 wickets in the first semi-final Thursday.
In the day's 2nd semi-final, Bangladesh decided to bat first after winning the toss and scored 95 runs for 4 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
Lata Mondal scored an unbeaten 34 runs off 43 balls with a boundary, Farzana Haque added 22 runs off 33 balls also with a boundary while skipper Salma Khatun 14 runs for Bangladesh.
Chasing 91 runs, Sri Lankan were forced to dismiss for 70 runs in 18.2 overs.
Panna Ghosh bowled devastatingly to grab 5 wickets for 10 runs while Rumana bagged 2 wickets for 11 runs.
