B’desh taste first victory beating SL

Bangladesh Women's team tasted their first victory in the ICC Women's World Twenty20 beating Sri Lanka Women's team by 3 runs in their 4th and last Group-B match at Sylhet Stadium Tuesday, reports UNB.
In the day's match, chasing 116 runs against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka stuck to 112 for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Jahanara Alam made the first breakthrough by taking Sri Lanka's top order player Hasini Perera (1) at 2 in 1.1 overs.
In the 2nd wicket stand, opener Yasoda Mendis pairing with Chamari Atapattu made 37 runs to take the team total to 39 for 2 in 6.2 overs.
Yasoda Mendis scored the team highest run-a-ball 33 featuring five boundaries before she fell victim of run out by Jahanara Alam.
Skipper Shashikala Siriwardene made 31 runs facing 36 balls with two fours and was caught by Lata Mondal off a Panna Ghosh delivery while Chamari Atapattu added 17 runs off 15 balls with three fours.
