CA membership suspended by ICAB gets stay order for 3 months

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) by an order dated March 2, 2009 suspended the membership of Mr. ATMA Bari FCA (423), Partner of ACNABIN Chartered Accountants due to professional misconduct, says a press release.
Mr. Bari then filed a writ petition to the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. The High Court Division issued a Rule Nisi upon ICAB calling for explanation as to why the suspension order should not be declared to have been issued without lawful authority and is of no legal effect. The court also granted stay for three months on the suspension order.
