CA to highlight reforms, polls roadmap in UNGA

Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed who will address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27 will highlight reforms and election roadmap, duty free access of LDCs' products and free labour movement, reports UNB.
Briefing journalists, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury said the CA would also address a meeting on climate change in New York on September 24 and co-chair a session with the Netherlands Prime Minister.
The chief adviser will leave Dhaka for New York on September 22 to lead Bangladesh to the 62nd UNGA.
In his country statement to the General Assembly, the CA will call for UN's central role in ensuring development and expansion of the peacekeeping activities.
Ahmed in his statement will elaborate the background of his government's take over, reform activities and the roadmap to general election.
