Cabinet body okays projects worth Tk 31.87b

A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Purchase gave approval to seven projects on Wednesday at a total cost of over Tk 31.87 billion that include development of national database centre project at a cost of Tk 11.99 billion with Chinese assistance.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith presided over the meeting.
Other projects that the committee approved include - construction of 10-storey head-office building for NSI with 20-storey foundation and two basements at Segunbagicha in the capital at a cost of Tk 562 million, and construction of double-line track from Tongi to Bhairab Bazar and signalling on Dhaka-Chittagong main-line at a cost of Tk 14.05 billion.
