Cabinet nods BD-Brazil visa exemption proposal

The Cabinet on Monday in its regular meeting approved a proposal for signing an agreement for exemption of visa requirement for the officials and diplomatic passport holders of Brazil and Bangladesh. Cabinet secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed reporters after the meeting held at the cabinet division at the Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. He said the proposal was approved in pursuit to the Article-7 of the 'Technical Cooperation Agreement' between Bangladesh and Brazil. It proposed that official and diplomatic passport holders of both the countries could stay without visa in each other countries for 30 days or use the lands for transit to visit another country, according to a news agency.
