The cabinet on Monday approved the proposal of signing an agreement between Bangladesh and Serbia on visa waivers for the official and diplomatic passport holders of both the countries.
The approval was given at the regular weekly meeting of the cabinet held at the Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed reporters.
He said the citizens of both the countries working in international organisations will also be eligible to avail themselves of the facilities.
The Cabinet Secretary said that official and diplomatic passport holders could travel and stay in the respective country without visa for 90 days at a time.
The cabinet also approved the proposal to revise its earlier decision aimed at delegating the responsibility of the Patron Organization of Textile Sector to Textile Directorate under Textiles and Jute Ministry.
