Cabinet orders resubmission of report on govt economic achievement

The Cabinet Monday directed the Finance Division to resubmit its presentation on the government’s achievements on economic front in its previous tenure and the recent position of the macroeconomic indicators making it more comprehensive and updated one. The directives came from the regular weekly meeting of the Cabinet held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair. Briefing reporters after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said the Cabinet thinks this presentation could be considered as an important reference material and there is a further scope for enriching it. In light of this, the Cabinet directed the Finance Division to resubmit the presentation after making it more comprehensive, he added, according to a news agency.
