LIVERPOOL, Oct 18 (AFP): Everton midfielder Tim Cahill is on course to feature in Saturday's derby against Liverpool after stepping up his recovery from a broken foot.
Cahill has been sidelined for 12 weeks after re-injuring the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, which he broke against Sheffield United in March.
But the Australia star, who has scored three times in six Merseyside derbies, returned to training Monday and Everton manager David Moyes admitted he could be involved when Liverpool visit Goodison Park this weekend.
"Tim started training Monday and we are pleased to have him back," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo. "There is no doubt we have missed him since he's been out.
"He is a goalscoring central midfielder with drive and when you look at the goals he has scored for Everton in the past three years, he has been a big part of our success.
