Call for creating HIV/AIDS awareness

FARIDPUR, Nov 14: Speakers at a workshop on 'Reproductive healthcare of young people and prevention of HIV/AIDS' organised by the Family Planning Association of Bangladesh, Faridpur unit, called for creating awareness among the common people about the dreadful disease HIV/AIDS.
A resource person said as the disease infected quickly through sexual intercourse without using condom, the people, especially the youths, should remain aware of the disease.
They urged youths to follow the social and religious values to remain free from HIV/AIDS.
Md Abdul Wahab Bhuiyan, ADC (education) and Abdul Malek, Deputy Director of Family Planning, Faridpur attended the function as chief guest and special guest respectively.
Unit President Advocate Md Saidur Rahman presided over the workshop while Mrs Shahnaj Begum from Dhaka was present at the function as the resource person.
