Call for proper implementation of export policy

Chittagong, Nov 03: A seminar on "Export Policy, 2006-2009 and strategy: Its implication, application and inceptive measures "was held under the auspices of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Chittagong at the conference room of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in the city on Thursday.
Director of EPB, Chittagong Md Golam Mostafa presided over the seminar while Director General of EPB Dhaka Faridul Hasan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Md Golam Mostafa said, the importance of export trade is undeniable for the economic development and prosperity of the country and as such export measures are needed to be strengthened.
He said, every independent and sovereign country formulates a pragmatic export policy for expansion of production and trade and as such a developing country of the Third World like Bangladesh is no exception.
