Call for saving Kirtonkhola River from pollution

BARISAL, Mar 23 (UNB): Environment activists here Saturday on the eve of World Water Day called for saving the Kirtonkhola River from pollution.
They formed a human chain and held rally, organised by Barisal district Conscious Citizen Committee of TIB, on the western bank of the river near BIWTA Hamza Ghat in the evening. Speaking on the occasion, they said continued pollution of the water of the river has been diminishing the aqua lives in the river and people living by the riverside.
