Call to bring dynamism to country's sports arena

Friday, 3 August 2007

National Sports Council (NSC) Chairman and Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed has appealed to all the national sports federations to play active role in giving dynamism to the country's sports arena.
He made the appeal while exchanging views with the presidents of different sports federations at the NSC conference room in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
General Moeen said: "Sports should not only be confined in the capital, but also be spread in the grassroots level. We should pay more attention to grooming players, rather than merely spending money in infrastructures."
He also advised the federation presidents to play pioneering role in expanding and developing sports and games without depending only on the NSC.
The presidents of all the 36 sports federations conveyed their views to the NSC chairman at the view-exchange session.
