Saturday, 13 September 2014

Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah Friday underscored the need for building the country with the spirit of the Liberation War, reports BSS.
"Responding to a clarion call of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the people from all sections participated in the Liberation War in 1971 and achieved the independence after nine- month struggle with the Pak occupation forces", he said.
The deputy speaker made the comments while addressing a ceremony on laying down the foundation stone of a Muktijoddha Complex at Palashbari Upazila town in Gaibandha at noon as the chief guest and Umme Kulsum Smriti, MP, was present as the special guest.

Terming the freedom fighters (FFs) as the golden sons of the soil, advocate Rabbi urged the FFs to get united again and to face all sorts of conspiracy of the anti -liberation forces to turn the country into a middle income one by 2021.
Deputy Commissioner M. Ehsan-e-Elahi, Executive Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) M Belal Hossain, Upazila level officials and FFs, including  journalists were present on the occasion.
