Call to contain population thru\\\' family planning

RANGPUR, May 14 (BSS): Health experts at an advocacy meeting here have stressed for adopting family planning by all able couples to contain population growth, reducing maternal and neonatal deaths and ensuring safe motherhood.
They put special emphasis on expanding family planning programme to every able couple through creating social awareness for containing population growth rate that has become an inevitable essence of the time in building healthier nation.
The District Family Planning Department (DFPD) organised the advocacy meeting at conference room of Sadar Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday before observing the Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health Service Week-2015 from May 16 to 21 next.
With Sadar Upazila Family Planning Officer ATM Shamsul Huda in the chair, Deputy Director of the DFPD Dr Shafikul Islam attended the meeting as the chief guest.
