Call to develop proper steps for execution of MICR tech

Southeast Bank Limited (SEBL) Deputy Managing Director Syed Imtiaz Hasib laid emphasis on the need for evolving appropriate steps for efficient implementation of MICR technology for BACH to manage the transition from current manual clearing house operations to the automated cheque and electronic fund transfer system.
Mr Imtiaz Hasib made the observation while inaugurating a workshop on 'MICR Technology for Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH)' organised by its training institute in the city recently, said a press release.
Bangladesh Bank Programmer and Deputy Director (Currency Management and Payment system) Mohammad Masud Anwar spoke on the occasion as the guest speaker.
He delivered his keynote presentation on MICR technology in the workshop.
