Call to ensure disabled people\\\'s rights, dignity

CHUADANGA, Nov 25 (BSS): Speakers at a wheel chair distribution ceremony have stressed to ensure social dignity, rights and honour of the disabled people through flourishing their talents.
They were addressing a wheel chair distribution ceremony arranged by a local non-government organisation (NGO) ''Protibondhi Sheba-o-Shahajjo Kendra'' at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner here today.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Delwar Hossain attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed wheel chairs to 49 disabled persons while Dr. Selim Reza, consultant of the NGO, was in the chair.
It was addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Mollick Syed Mahbub, Atiar Rahman, Deputy Director of district social welfare department and Professor SM Israfil.
