Call to give Zakat for creating employment opportunities

Islami Bank Foundation (IBF) Chairman Shah Abdul Hannan laid emphasis on giving Zakat by wealthy people and creating employment opportunities for the unemployed people with it.
The IBF chairman said this in the prize giving ceremony for the winners of an essay competition on 'Zakat' organised by the Foundation at the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) head office in the city recently.
IBBL board of director Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was present there as the chief guest.
Chaired by Shah Abdul Hannan, the function was attended, among others, by IBBL executive committee Chairman Mominul Islam Patwary, audit committee Chairman and IBF member Kazi Harun-ar-Rashed and IBF member Md Shahidul Islam as the special guests.
IBBL Managing Director M Fariduddin Ahmad delivered the address of welcome in the function.
The IBF distributed prizes among 54 students in three groups in the programme.
Mr Zaher said educated youths are the actual wealth of a country.
The IBF chairman urged the students to build up themselves with the ideals of Islam.
