Call to help achieve Boro production target

MYMENSINGH, Feb 10 (BSS): Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture MA Aziz urged the officials concerned to make their best efforts to succeed in fulfilling the government's target of Boro production.
He made the call while speaking as the chief guest at a training programme on production of 'guti urea' at the auditorium of Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institutes here Saturday.
He said the present government gave top priority on Boro cultivation to meet the demand of food and provide necessary support to the farmers.
The agriculture secretary urged the farmers to use 'guti' urea in the Boro field for better output as its price was less than that of urea available in the market.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md Shamsul Alam, the function was addressed, among others, by Director General of Department of Agriculture Extension Shamsul Alam, additional director Israt Jahan, Md Abdur Rouf, Abdul Muyeed and Md Moqbul Hossain Talukder.
