RAJSHAHI, Oct 11 (BSS): Speakers at a views-sharing meeting with madrasah teachers in the city Tuesday called for making the madrasah education time-befitting and ICT-based for bolstering the country's human resource sector.
The speakers also mentioned that the ICT-based madrasah education could be an effective means of reducing unemployment besides freeing the nation from the curse of fundamentalism and militancy.
Rajshahi district unit of Bangladesh Jamiyatul Mudarresin (BJM) organised the Rajshahi divisional level meeting on "Devising Way-out on How to Improve Madrasah Education" at Safawang Community centre.
BJM President AMM Bahauddin in his speech as chief guest said the present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is attentive to development of Madrasah education. The BJM chief said the government has been implementing various uplift programmes for welfare of the madrasah teachers and other staff for upgrading their social dignity.
He said the madrasah teachers have no relations with the terrorists and militants, and the wrongdoers are the enemies of the country and Islam as well.
