RAJSHAHI, June 16 (BSS): Speakers at a meeting here today underscored the need for forging a social movement against corruption to build a poverty-free Bangladesh.
They said corruption always breed poverty, hamper development process, affects the poor and distressed people and it deprives many people of getting many public-level emergency services like education and healthcare.
They asserted that corruption must be resisted in a collective effort of all quarters as only the government or any single organisation was not capable of doing the same.
Anti-corruption Campaign Team organised the meeting at the Monnuzan Government Primary School playground.
Different other non-government development organisations like Barendra Unnayan Prochesta, Centre for Communication and Development and ISD supported the programme.
