Cambodia taste first win

Cambodia beat Macau by 2-1 goals to taste the first win in group A match of the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifier at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday, reports UNB.
Strikers Teag Vathanak and Keo Songorn scored one goal each for the winners, who led the first half 1-0. Medio Chan Man Hei netted the goal for the losers.
Teag Vathanak put Cambodia ahead in the very 11th minute with a placing shot from inside the D-box after taking a close pass from Kim Borey (1-0).
After the lemon break, Keo Songorn doubled the margin for the winners in the 65th minute with a shot from inside the danger zone giving no chance to Macau custodian Leong (2-0).
Medio Chan Man Hei pulled one back for Macau in the 75th minute with a placing shot from goal-mouth melee after taking a long pass from midfield (2-1).
Earlier, in the opening matches on Sunday, Macau conceded a 4-0 goals defeat to Myanmar while Cambodia suffered a solitary goal loss to Bangladesh.
Cambodia will play their last group match against strong Myanmar at 3:30 pm, while Macau, already eliminated from the tournament race losing both the matches, will meet host Bangladesh at 6 pm, both at BNS on Thursday.
