Cameron condemns David Haines\\\'s \\\'evil murder\\\'
Sunday, 14 September 2014
The murder of David Haines was an ‘act of pure evil’, British Prime Minister David Cameron has said after the release of a video purporting to show the UK hostage’s beheading. The PM vowed to do ‘everything in our power to hunt down’ the aid worker’s killers. Haines’s family said the 44-year-old would be ‘missed terribly’. Islamic State militants have already beheaded two Americans, saying it was in response to US air strikes in Iraq. The latest video also includes a threat to kill a second British hostage. Haines, a father-of-two from Perth, was kidnapped in Syria in March 2013. In a statement released by the Foreign Office, Mike Haines said his brother ‘was and is loved by all his family and will be missed terribly’, according to BBC.
