Campus violence
Friday, 17 April 2009
The prime minister Sheikh Hasina had earlier ordered the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) members to refrain from committing violence on campus. They defied her and engaged themselves in violence. So the prime minister cannot be blamed for the unruly campus situation created by some undisciplined BCL members. The prime minister has recently severed her links with BCL. This was, indeed a timely and nice decision by her. Many people appreciate her decision. The BCL activists now need to rectify themselves as soon as possible.
