Canadian co to instal toll collection system at Jamuna bridge

International Road Dynamics South Asia (IRDSA) will instal two WeighinMotion Systems and a toll collection system at Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Bridge) at a cost of 1.1 million Canadian dollars.
The project is expected to be commissioned by April, 2010. IRDSA said it has been awarded the contract by the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BAA).
IRDSA is a subsidiary of International Road Dynamics Inc. (IRD), a North American company based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, with sales and service offices throughout the United States and overseas.
"We are pleased to be extending our presence in Bangladesh with this important new contract," commented Terry Bergan, president and chief executive officer of IRD. "The project provides a strategic link between eastern and western Bangladesh, and integrates two of our industry-leading technologies to form a seamless solution," Terry Bergan added.
