Capt Qader's death anniversary today

The 42nd death anniversary of martyred Capt Aftabul Qader Bir Uttam will be observed today, said a press release. He sacrificed his life during a direct battle with the Pakistani army at Mahalchhari of Khagrachhari on the day in 1971. He was buried in Ramgarh. On the occasion, a discussion meeting, a Qurankhwani and a dua mahfil will be held at 11:00am at the Conference Room of Bangladesh Institute of Journalism and Electronic Media in the capital's Elephant Road. People and Ramgarh Upazila administration will also hold similar programmes on the day in memory of the martyred army officer.
